I am Marion, the teacher-owner of Lu & Ju.
I graduated in Psychology from University Paris-V and from the Maria-Montessori Institute in Paris.
Before moving to Montreal en 2011, I have built strong experience teaching in english and french in Montessori schools over 10 years, in France and the USA.
I am proud to propose a complete Montessori curriculum to your child (1 to 6 years-old), in french and english, with a flexible schedule and with the goal of making them ready primary school.
I teach small groups of up to 6 children in a warm, family environment. We use certified Montessori material to encourage every child to approach reading, writing, maths and the arts with a growing sense of self confidence, with their peers, all in the heart of Montreal’s Plateau Mont-Royal, with a big garden to explore too!!
Our schedules are flexible to accommodate your specific needs :
- For the little ones who need nap time in the afternoon: 9AM-1PM ($50/day),
- Older children who don’t need a nap anymore: 9AM-3PM ($65/day).
These fees are tax deductible and may qualify for tax credits.
See you soon at Lu & Ju!
Our Montessori approach
We encourage you child to develop their autonomy, langage, motor skills with practical handling of the Montessori material. Our goal is to teach them how “to do by themselves” and develop their self-confidence.
The Montessori pedagogy promotes free play, sensory awakening and the child’s intellectual growth. Lu & Ju’s curriculum is adapted to each and every children and their own specific interests, which change in the course of time. We encourage your child at their own pace to guide them until primary school. Children can learn by themselves, with Marion or in small groups of up to 6 children. The older children help the little ones, who in turn encourage the older ones to explain better, in English, French or both!
Lu & Ju also emphasizes how to respect and live with each other.
After the little nappers leave early in the afternoon, older children explore our big garden to explore and observe urban nature around them. It is also the opportunity for them to grow their vocabulary with specific nomenclatures, and to encourage the respect and preservation of our environment , even in the heart of the city!
